I knew I had only two hours before this beach surrendered to high tide. The seastacks- large rock outcrops in the surf on the Oregon coast are famous for their beauty and tidepools. I drove from my motel room just after dawn to catch low tide, working up and down the beach, differing angles and clouds, incoming surf. Finally rays of sun grazed the boulder in front of me, creating this lovely image.
